Three-gauge means three stitches to the inch - a thick, slow knit that takes about four hours a jumper. Cable rib on the body, plain rib at the cuffs and hem, a wide crew neck. It is oversized so it goes over a pyjama shirt or a sweatshirt without bunching.
A knit this loose will stretch if it is hung up. Fold it.
